Common Questions

Interior painting
FAQ.

How long will my interior painting project take? +

A single room typically takes one day; a whole home (10–15 rooms) usually takes 4–7 days. Factors include number of rooms, ceiling height, trim complexity, and how much prep and repair work is needed. You'll receive a day-by-day schedule before we start so you can plan accordingly.

Do I need to move my furniture before you arrive? +

No — our crew handles furniture moving as part of the job. We move smaller pieces, cover upholstered furniture and larger items with drop cloths, and protect floors completely before a single wall is touched. We put everything back in place before calling the job done.

Can my family stay home during the project? +

Absolutely. We use low-VOC premium paints that are safe for occupied homes, and we work room by room so most of your home remains accessible throughout the project. We do recommend keeping children and pets out of the active work areas, and we'll always coordinate access and entry with you each day.

How much does interior painting cost on Cape Cod? +

Interior pricing depends on room count, ceiling height, trim complexity, and whether repairs are needed. As a guide: a single room runs $600–$1,400; a whole home (1,200–2,500 sq ft) $3,500–$7,500; a full repaint including all trim and doors $5,000–$12,000. We provide free detailed estimates so there are no surprises.

How many coats do you apply? +

Standard practice is two full coats on all painted surfaces — never a single coat, no matter how good the paint is. New drywall, significant color changes, or surfaces going from dark to light may require a primer coat first. We assess each situation and always apply what the surface needs to achieve a lasting, even result.
